MMI 3G PLUS with firmware starting from HN+ has been installed in Audi A4/A5/Q5/Q7. MMI 3G PLUS with firmware starting from HN+R has been installed in Audi A6 / A7 / A8 / Q3 Is it important to get correct software, because if you for example choose HN+ for Audi A6 it will not working.

How to update Audi MMI 3G Firmware:
Format your SD in FAT 32
Copy the root of your firmware in the SD(like picture below)
Open “Engineering Menu”

A screen like this will appear
Insert the SD card with the firmware in slot 1
Press the “Update” option using the MMI Control Panel
Scroll down with the big knob and select the source in the menu(SD 1) press it.
Select the firmware pressing the big knob once
Caution:Some users report problems with bose sound system,if you have bose and don’t know how to recode it… we recommend unselect it from list(using User-Defined Mode) before updata
If you update it,you will have to visit an expert or your dealer for recode it.If you can,we recommend update it,just because it sounds better.
Select “Standard”
You will see a list with all devices that firmware will update
Scroll to bottom and press “Start Update” or “Start Download”
Another screen appears informing you that once you start updating this must not be interrupted.Select “Start” and press the big knob.
The MMI will reboot and the update process will start
After several minutes/hours(it depends that what it has to update and the speed of your SD) the firmware update will be done.
Aresume with all updated modules will appear.Scroll down and press “Continue”
Select “Cancel documentation“ and the MMI will reboot

This update CD is EU version for mmi system of A6. (should be also for A8) Update AMI to 0850 and enable the integration of new iPod without reflicts. Bluetooth SW stike with SW 0950. You may have diffecalties with updating bluetooth cell phone (cald handyvorbereitung2). Just repeat the update as needed until it is updated. Kombii instrument may disappear. Hint: Be carefull with the following, Address 07 > STG (display,front or head unit) then go to channel 10 > change value 11 to 01 .....not sure of these numbers Restart the MMI by updating value 111 to 'a' or by monkey grib ;) Enter updating mood 'Hiden menu' which will in green select the computer brand and battery indicator. For Audi cars that have problem with woofen on sounds, update the audio amplifier by a new SW for update CD 8K0 906 961 A or you may need to remove the components protection by the dealer with the subwoofer if you'r unlucky.
